瑞典歌坛新人，成名于瑞典Pop Idol 2004 R （2004年度瑞典流行偶像大赛)。是当年的瑞典偶像亚军,现在是瑞典当红的偶像歌手。瑞典是当今世界上仅次于美国和英国,位居第3的音乐输出国，在瑞典也有类似美国偶像和超女的节目。
2005年9月28日发行的同名专辑《Darin》， 一发行就登上瑞典排行榜冠军。孙燕姿《心愿》就是翻唱他的《Sail The Ocean》。2006年12月推出全新专辑《Break The News》。
Darin zanyar最喜欢的音乐人是Gwen Stefani，但他最喜欢一起共事的是Christina Aguilera。
