The Animals(1962-至今,英国),Blues Rock的代表,因其舞台表演风格大气而得名Animals;音乐中多伴以高亢深韵的嗓音和吉他形成了他们特有的风格,由于乐队组成人员上遭遇过众多大起大落,音乐风格被大多数人误认为迷幻摇滚;作为上世纪英国”音乐入侵”闻名美国;成立至今,共发行19张专辑;其中6张在UK发行,13张在US发行;
使他们被大家认可的便是今天要介绍的歌曲《The House of the Rising Sun》,1964此曲一经发行,就同时在英国,美国,瑞典,加拿大登上了单曲榜榜首;这首依据美国民谣改编而来的,经由The Animals之口,为他们带来了他们应得的荣耀与赞誉.此曲据说讲述了美国New Orleans发生的一件错事(已经无可考证);现在最另人颇为信服的版本便认为,此曲讲述的是这个新奥尔良的一家Rising Sun(妓院),对这一歌曲讲述事件地点的家庭,男人的影响.(SF:)
