He then starred in the mega-hit TV movie High School Musical which was viewed by 38 million viewers in the United States alone. However, many people became confused at what he sang in High School Musical when Zac revealed that some of the lyrics have had his voice blended with a singer named Andrew Seeley. Zac sang all the songs himself with the exceptions of Get'cha Head in the Game, which Andrew Seeley mostly did himself and Breaking Free, in which Zac sang the first verse and had his voice blended with Andrew's for some lines through out the rest of the song. The official reasons given were Zac was coming out of puberty and had trouble with the high notes and when blended with Andrew's voice Zac sounded better singing with Vanessa. However, many have speculated that Andrew Seeley would only sell the song Get'cha Head in the Game to Disney if he got to sing it and got one other song credit. It should be noted that Andrew Seeley has not written any songs that will not be doing any singing in High School Musical 2. Efron has stated that he wishes to do all his own singing in all future films. |
