10th anniversary of 《Millennium》——unforgetable glory
On 18th May 1999, Backstreet Boys released its 3rd studio album 《Millennium》, soon Backstreet Boys captured every teenager’s heart by every word they sang. 《I Want It That Way》——The first single of 《Millennium》was like a wave that touched every continent, wind that floated across everyone’s face. Immediately, it became “No 1 single” in so many countries. This was how Backstreet Boys made themselves best boyband in the world. If you’ve never heard of 《I Want It That Way》, better try finding it to listen, The melody really makes every setp you take softer.
In 1999,I was a primary school student. I didn’t even have concept of What Backstreet Boys was at all.One day in summer vacation when I was watching TV, Backstreet Boys came into my eyes for the first time. It was a TV show where Backstreet Boys performanced 《I Want It That Way》, They were impressive to me at that time but I didn’t love them at once. Any way, that was the beginning in whice I got to know these five guys. ^_^
So far ,《Millennium》has sold out over 34 million copies all over the world,and it is the last album that has sold out over 30 million copies . Really incredible, isn’t it?
There is no doubt that I wouidn’t have been so intrested in English without Backstreet Boys. |
